Q. What does “certified teacher” mean?

A certified teacher is a person that has passed all Texas state required assessments and holds a teaching certificate.

Q. Do you tutor during the summer?

Yes, tutoring is offered during the summer at flat fee rates.

Q. My child’s first language is Spanish. Can you tutor him in English also?

Tutoring is offered in your child’s first language and English can be taught using ESL Strategies.

Q. Is this a tutor referral service?

No, I do not refer students to other tutors. You will have communication exclusively with me from beginning to end of your request.

Q. I see that your rates are quite affordable; how are your rates determined?

My rates are comparable to other tutors within this area. Several tutor referral companies charge from $40 to $50 per hour because they refer your child to their tutors and pay them at least $20 and make a profit of $20 or more.

Q. Are you available to tutor adults?

I offer my services to elementary grades, but adults are welcome to require my services and will be considered according to available hours.
